Success File - Church road car park has a plastics collection point at last

12.17.09pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 23rd Jul 2008

Church Road car park now has a plastics collection bin. Two years after former councillor Nigel Quinton pointed out that the spot could easily accommodate a plastics gin, Councillor Malcolm Cowan has finally got the council to agree that there is no point waiting for the Sainsbury's development to get under way before adding a plastics bin to this spot. The bin is now proudly in position in the very spot Nigel Quinton pointed out. This is another example of a Liberal Democrat campaign that has been carried to a favourable conclusion in our town.
