Welwyn Hatfield Liberal Democrats are delighted that Borough Councillor Hazel Laming was the unanimous choice of Hatfield Town Councillors for co-option to fill the vacant seat on the Council due to the resignation of one of the Tory Councillors.

"I have always worked for the best interests of the residents of Hatfield and look forward to continuing in that role. I am pleased that that the work I have done has been recognised by my fellow Councillors. As a member of the group who have organised the Hilltop Hatfest Event I am already involved with this year's arrangements - the event will take place on May 17th; it has been renamed 'South Hatfield Fete'. Now I have the opportunity to do even more", said Hazel on hearing news of the decision.
